14, 2004 - On May 14, 2004, this image was captured on a morning
pass of a large dust storm spreading a veil of dust over the water and
the countries surrounding the shores: (clockwise from top left corner)
Iraq, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Saudia Arabia, and Kuwait. The peninsular
country on the western shore of the Gulf is Qatar. The dust swirls in
streamers, arcs, and parallel lines over more than half the Gulf. |
